re: Sealed with a Kiss
What an intriguing story! You really used the letter format very well to tell a rather complex and engaging tale spanning so many years and touching on issues of friendship and love in a very original way. I love how subtly you've woven in the first part of the prompt - how Harry did not keep his friends close by leaving the wizarding world, and then Hermione and Ron bascially ended their friendship, as they could not understand what was going on with Harry. Quite a unique portrayal of Hermione and Ron as a couple, btw - I don't think I've ever seen them written quite so unsympathetically. I like it. Ironically, in your story, it's the former enemies who became friends by getting close, rather than stupefying each other ;-). I wonder who was behind the stupefying attacks on Draco - the Ministry? His former mates from school? And of course I love Harry's last letter, written on the day of the Epilogue, fifteen years after Draco's apology and declaration of his love. It's such a hopeful ending. Thanks for writing!April 6 2009, 16:21:53 UTC 3 years ago
Re: Sealed with a Kiss
I like a little irony in my life...okay, that's a lie. I like a lot of irony and sarcasm, sarcasm's good.Thank you for your comment about Ron and Hermione, it's just, I kind of understand what they went through, and though it does seem rather cold just seeing what they wrote (more Hermione than Ron), the whole thing was just really hard to process.
O.o I like mystery too ;D

I wish Harry hadn't had to find out, but I'm Team Epilogue, these things have to happen, unfortunately.
Thank you!

The letter format worked extremely well on that one (and I'm known to be picky here). A flight through time, so to speak. So much insight - and still so many in-between-lines things to figure out for ourselves.
And a perfect ending which sent a punch to the gut first and then set up hope.
As I said: wow :)

I mentioned to another reviewer that I had originally written most of the story in just normal prose before I decided that it wasn't working and went with this format instead. I feel that it works better with all the gaps in time and whatnot that I did.
I'm glad you enjoyed it though!

This is definitely interesting with perspective, because you would think it was Harry's but it's actually Draco's. But the letters to Harry give you the context of what has happened and that's what is so lovely about this. Nice work!

I like the letter format mostly because I'm a screenwriter, so writing normal prose can be a little awkward for me at times.
I'm glad you were still able to follow along and enjoy the story though!

At first the ending made me go all mushy and happy that Harry replied. Then I noticed the date and my heart just broke. Love those bitter sweet endings ^_^
